How to set up a single device

If you like to set up one device to your system, here’s how to do it:

  1. Start the installation flow
    1. Using the Lookout24 app: tap ‘Set up my system’ at the bottom of your place dashboard (or ⚙️ Settings > Add devices)
    2. Using the Setup app: Tap ‘Set up devices’ at the bottom of your place dashboard (or ⚙️ Settings > Add devices)
  2. At the very bottom of the screen, tap 'Set up a single device'
  3. Select the device you want to add
  4. Follow the steps in the app — it will guide you through the entire setup.

Good to know

Adding an activity sensor

(Alarm Pod, SensePlug, SensePod)

  • If you’re adding it to an existing zone, make sure the Thread Border Router (the first device set up in that zone) is online
  • A zone can have up to 4 activity sensors

Adding an accessory

(Door Sensor, PIR Motion Sensor, Keypad)

  • Accessories can only be added to a zone that already has a Thread Border Router
  • You can add as many accessories as you like to a zone
