I changed my Wi-Fi

If you’ve changed your Wi-Fi network — whether it’s the name, password, or router — you’ll need to update your system so your devices stay connected.

 

How to update the Wi-Fi network of an Area

  1. Go to your place > '⚙️ Settings' > 'Update Wi-Fi network'
    • If you see a “Missing Thread Credentials” error, please refer to this article
  2. Select the Area you want to update

  3. You’ll see the devices that need an update

    • If only one device is shown, that’s normal — updating it will reconnect the rest of the devices in the Area

    • Not sure which device to update? Tap Locate device and the app will show the device’s unique identifier (MAC address), which you can find on the back of the device

  4. Tap 'Update'
  5. Follow the steps in the app

Once completed, your Wi-Fi network will be updated for that Area. If you have multiple Areas, repeat these steps for each one.

After the update, devices may take a few minutes to reconnect. They might appear offline temporarily during this time.
