This FAQ will walk you through how to sign in to a nami place using the nami setup app, what a "place" means, and how to troubleshoot common sign-in issues.
The nami setup app is available on both iOS and Android.
What Is a nami "Place"?
A nami place is a virtual space that represents a real-world location, like a house, an apartment, or a small shop in the nami system. Each place includes:

Users – People who can manage or view the place.

Zones – Groups of rooms that work together using nami’s Wi-Fi sensing mesh.

Rooms – The actual rooms in your place.
-
Name – A custom label for easy identification (e.g., “Main Office - 2nd Floor”).
Each place is managed outside the nami setup app, either through the nami aiCare dashboard or by other means.
How to Sign In to a Nami Place
Follow these steps to sign in using the nami setup app:

Download the nami setup app
Go to the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android), search for “nami setup”, and install the app on your phone or tablet. -
Open the app
Tap the app icon to launch it. -
Use your access code
To join a nami place, you need a valid access code. This can be:-
A link sent to you via email or message.

A QR code provided by another user or displayed on the aiCare dashboard.

Enter or scan the code

If you received a link, tap it—it will open the app and guide you through sign-in.

If you received a QR code, open the app and use the built-in scanner to scan the code.

You’re in!
Once your access code is accepted, you’ll be signed into the nami place and can begin managing rooms, zones, and users.
Where to Get an Access Code
Access codes are generated and shared through the nami external API and the nami aiCare dashboard. If you do not have access to one of these means, contact nami support team.
Troubleshooting Common Sign-In Issues
My access code is not working
Double-check that the code hasn’t expired or been used for another sign-in. If scanning a QR code, make sure your camera has permission to access the app.
The app won’t open or crashes
Try the following:

Ensure your app is up to date via the App Store or Google Play.

Restart your device and try again.

Uninstall and reinstall the app.
I forgot my nami login details
The nami setup app does not require a traditional username and password. Access is managed via access codes instead. Request a new code if needed.
