SensePlug devices detect motion. In order to detect motion in an area, you need at least 2 or more activity sensors (Alarm Pod, SensePlug) in the same zone.
SensePlug devices also work as smart plugs and can be used to control a light for instance.
Once your system is Armed, any motion detected will trigger an intrusion. Even if your system isn't armed, the motion data will always be recorded.

-
- If installing in a new zone: place it within 30ft of your Wi-Fi access point and front door
-
- If installing in an existing zone: place it between 10-30ft from all activity sensors and within 30ft of the selected door if you have a Door Sensor
8. Test your motion
- If you are setting up your SensePlug as part of a kit, the app will prompt you to test the motion at the end of the setup: move around the area monitored, then stop moving. Check the graph for any change
- You can also test the motion of a zone by checking the Motion Now or Motion Today graphs
9. Always keep your SensePlug plugged in!
- The SensePlug must stay plugged in to function during an intrusion
- If set up in a new zone, it will act as the Border Router, ensuring other devices in the zone work correctly. If unplugged, it may affect other devices
- You will receive a push notification if the SensePlug is disconnected, and you can check its status in the app
