Welcome to this installation guide about commissioning a mesh sensor as a border router using Android 1.5.5. This step-by-step guide will walk you through the different configuration steps and any difficulties you might have.
The first device of the zone will be commissioned as a border router. It creates a Thread network and uses it for communication, while also connecting to the Wi-Fi access point to provide access to the Internet. Only the border router uses Wi-Fi for communication with the access point. All the other devices use Wi-Fi for sensing only.
⚠️ Do not power off the border router, as all devices would disconnect from the internet.
